Research Interests
I seek fundamental understanding of the mechanisms involved in the production of human movement, and I am motivated to improve treatments for individuals with cerebral palsy, stroke, osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s disease and other conditions that limit mobility. I am also involved in the development of new biomedical technologies for imaging, neuromodulation, and simulation.
Degrees
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Stanford Universiy, 1990
